2020 Race Schedule 

​Due to the mandates by federal, state, and local governments concerning the coronavirus outbreak, all scheduled racing events are postponed until further notice.    We will update our schedule once the mandates on events and gatherings have been lifted.  

Rules

ALL ELK CREEK DRAGWAY SAFETY AND GENERAL OPERATION RULES APPLY IN ADDTION TO THE RULES LISTED BELOW.

1. Any full bodied, front engine, rear wheel drive car or truck with a 7.99 or quicker ET in the 1/8th mile.

2.  Any manually shifted transmission (Lenco's are PERMITTED) working the clutch off the line with your foot.

3.  The operation of the clutch shall be a direct action of the driver's foot.  No device shall be allowed which interrupts, delays, or otherwise alters this action.

4.  NO PEDAL MAGNETS, AIR RELEASE SYSTEMS,  OR HYDRAULIC CLUTCH LINE LOCK SYSTEMS.  

5.  NO CLUTCH ACTIVATED AUTOMATICS (CLUTCH TURBOS) OR BRUNO'S.

6.  All gear changes must be a direct result of driver action.  Pneumatics, hydraulics, or electric shifters are prohibited. 

7.  No delay boxes or ET killing devices.

8.  Buy-backs will be available 1st or 2nd round.


Minimum Required Safety Equipment:  

1.  Front & rear drive shaft loops

2.  Blow proof bellhousing (SFI approved)

3.  Helment (Snell 85 or newer)

4.  Harmonic balancer meeting SFI Spec. 18.1

5.  Minimum 6 point roll cage

IHRA safety rules pertaining to braket type cars will be followed according to your ET.  

Please remember to exercise courtesy staging!!!




Entry Fees, Purses & Points

$50 Entry Fee

$25 Buy-Back 1st or 2nd Round


$1,500 - WINNER 
$400 - Runner-up
$100 - Semi-Finals
$50 - Quarter-Finals
$25 - 1/8th final if more than 32 cars



Points will be awarded as follows:

15 points for race entry

10 points per round won

1 point for Dash for Cash win

2 points for Runner-up

3 points for Win


The worst race finish of the season will be dropped at the end.  This can be a race that you did not attend.

In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the points champion will be decided by the following:

1.  Most wins
2.  Most runner-up finishes
3.  Most semi-final finishes
4.  Most quarter-final finishes
5.  Most Dash for Cash wins
6.  Most races attended
