2010 RULES

6.99 STREET ELIMINATOR
Powertrain

  • Any engine size is allowed.
  • Any power adder is allowed.
  • Gasoline is the only fuel allowed.
  • Exhaust run through mufflers required. No cone inserts.
  • Nitrous timers are allowed.
  • No down track stutter boxes or throttle stops allowed.

5.70 STREET OUTLAW
Powertrain

  • Small block without nitrous must weigh at least 2700 pounds.
  • Small block with nitrous must weigh at least 3000 pounds.
  • Big block without nitrous must weigh at least 3000 pounds.
  • Big block with nitrous must weigh at least 3300 pounds.
  • No Big Chief style cylinder heads.
  • Cheverolet S-B2 and Ford Yates heads must add 150 pounds.
  • Nitrou is the only power adder allowed.
  • No forced induction allowed.
  • Gasoline is the only fuel allowed.
  • Exhaust run through mufflers required. No cone inserts.
  • Single stage nitrous systems only. Fogger or Plate systems allowed, but not both.
  • Nitrous timers are allowed.
  • No down track stutter boxes or throttle stops allowed.

6.99 STREET ELIMINATOR & 5.70 STREET OUTLAW
Body and Chassis

  • No forward facing scoops other than factory for the car.
  • No stickers on the body panels, may be on the glass of the car only.
  • Stock firewall, in stock location.
  • Stock appearing dash and interior. No aluminum or sheet metal dashes allowed.
  • Must have 2 full sized front seats or a bench seat.
  • Hood, trunk, and bumpers may be made of fiberglass.
  • Must have factory OEM glass windshield and side windows, Side windows must roll up and down as factory.
  • Any type rear suspension allowed.
  • Front suspension: aftermarket x-members, A-arms and rack & pinion allowed. Square tube bolt in fronts are allowed. No round tube fronts are allowed.
  • Wheelie bars allowed.
  • Head lights and tail lights must function as they should and be of factory for the car.
  • Any tire up to a 30 x 13.50 DOT (6.99 cars can run any size DOT tire) or up to 11.5 tread width slick is allowed. No tire is to exceed 30 inches tall.

6.99 STREET ELIMINATOR & 5.70 STREET OUTLAW
Race Procedure

  • 5.70 Street Outlaw will be run on a 5.70 break out.
  • 6.99 Street Eliminator will be run on a 6.99 break out.
  • Heads Up .400 Pro Tree.

  • 2 qualifying passes will determine the qualifing ladder. A sportsman ladder will be used.
  • The ladder will be updated and posted for viewing after each round is completed.
  • Racers will alternate lanes in qualifying.
  • All racers will be responsible for knowing who they will run each round.
  • Before each race the cars in Street Outlaw will be weighed before the first qualifying pass and are subject to be weighed at any time during the race. The final two cars will be weighed after the finals to insure that they are of legal weight.
  • All racers are expected to maintain good conduct and to be prompt when called to tech and to the staging lanes.
  • Rules are expected to be followed. Breaking the rules during the race is call for immediate disqualification and for that round to be awarded to the competitor.
  • If a racer is found to be illegal more than one time during the race season they will no longer be eligible to race in that class for the remainder of the season.
  • All cars will be expected to be compliant with IHRA rule book standards for the E.T. that they are running.
  • Any questions regarding the rules or procedures will be directed to Billy Lambert, Roger Akers or any of the race assistants, NOT ELK CREEK DRAGWAY OFFICIALS.

Points System
4 Points will be awarded to enter race.

1 Point for each round win.

1 Extra point to win entire race.

A maximum of 4 races can be claimed for the season.

However, 4 Bonus Points will be awarded if you attend all 6 races.
