2012 RULES

7.70 SUPER STREET
Powertrain

  • Any engine combination is allowed.
  • Gasoline is the only fuel allowed.
  • Exhaust run through mufflers required. No cone inserts.
  • Nitrous timers are allowed.
  • No down track stutter boxes or throttle stops allowed.
  • No Transbrakes.

6.70 STREET ELIMINATOR
Powertrain

  • Any engine combination is allowed.
  • Gasoline is the only fuel allowed.

5.70 STREET OUTLAW
Powertrain

  • Any engine combination is allowed.
  • Gasoline is the only fuel allowed.
  • Exhaust run through mufflers required. No cone inserts.
  • Nitrous timers are allowed.
  • No down track stutter boxes or throttle stops allowed.


7.70 SUPER STREET, 6.70 STREET ELIMINATOR & 5.70 STREET OUTLAW
Body and Chassis

  • No forward facing scoops other than factory for the car.
  • No stickers on the body panels, may be on the glass of the car only.
  • Stock firewall, in stock location.
  • Stock appearing dash and interior.
  • Must have 2 full sized front seats or a bench seat.
  • Hood, trunk, and bumpers may be made of fiberglass.
  • Any type rear suspension allowed.
  • No full tube chassis.
  • Wheelie bars allowed.
  • Headlights and taillights must function as they should and be of factory for the car.
  • Any DOT approved tire up to a 30 x 13.50 or up to 11.5 tread width slick, not to exceed 30 inches tall.
  • **7.70 & 6.70 cars only can run any size DOT approved tire or 11.5 tread slick, not to exceed 30 inches tall.


6.70 STREET ELIMINATOR & 5.70 STREET OUTLAW
Race Procedure

  • 5.70 Street Outlaw will be run on a 5.70 break out.
  • 6.70 Street Eliminator will be run on a 6.70 break out.
  • 7.70 Super Street will be run on a 7.70 break out.
  • 5.70 & 6.70 Heads Up .400 Pro Tree. 7.70 Heads Up .500 Pro Tree.
  • 1 Shakedown pass will be offered before qualifying.
  • 2 qualifying passes will determine the qualifying ladder. A sportsman ladder will be used.
  • The ladder will be updated and posted for viewing after each round is completed.
  • Racers will alternate lanes in qualifying.
  • All racers will be responsible for knowing who they will run each round.
  • All racers are expected to maintain good conduct and to be prompt when called to tech and to the staging lanes.
  • Rules are expected to be followed. Breaking the rules during the race is call for immediate disqualification and for that round to be awarded to the competitor.
  • If a racer is found to be illegal more than one time during the race season they will no longer be eligible to race in that class for the remainder of the season.
  • All cars will be expected to met IHRA rulebook standards for the E.T. that they are running.
  • Any questions regarding the rules or procedures will be directed to Billy Lambert, Roger Akers or any of the race assistants, NOT ELK CREEK DRAGWAY OFFICIALS.

Points System
4 Points will be awarded to enter race.

1 Point for each round win.

1 Extra point to win entire race.

A maximum of 4 races can be claimed for the season.

However, 4 Bonus Points will be awarded if you attend all 6 races.
