Jr. Dragsters will be broken up into two classes.
Bracket 1 and Bracket 2
Bracket 1
The Bracket 1 Jr. Dragster class was created for beginners ages 8-12 or that have run 10 races or less.

2009 Bracket 1 Rules
1. Must be 8 years of age at the beginning of the season, it is okay to enter after the season starts per birth date (ex: if your birthday would be May, June, etc.).
2. Must be 12 years old at the beginning of the season, may roll over if your birthday falls after the season starts.
3. Any competitor that runs any 7.90 class or IHRA advanced class races must run Bracket 2 (NO Exceptions).
4. Class ET must remain 9.00 and slower. 1st offense you will receive a warning, 2nd offense you will be moved up to Bracket 2 (No Exceptions).
5. Runs may be paired (this will be at the tracks discretion).
6. All current IHRA safety equipment shall be enforced.
7. Help with staging is permitted for the Bracket 1 class, however this will be limited to one crew member.
8. At any time, competitor may move to Bracket 2, however, once moved the competitor will not be allowed back to run Bracket1 (No Exceptions).
9. Any competitor that is 13+ years of age that would like to start out in Bracket 1 can do so, providing they are beginners (10 races or less experience). The track will monitor competitors reaction times, ET's and general ability in racing. As such, the track reserves the right to move a competitor to Bracket 2 if a competitors skills so warrant.
*** Points will be kept in Bracket 1 but are not eligible for IHRA bracket finals. ***
